Bachelor degree full time education
Length: 3 years
Study for three years allows a student to acquire a comprehensive overview on the key knowledge of psychology and its basic disciplines (general psychology, social psychology, developmental psychology, psychology of personality). Graduate will also gain ability to acquire, analyse and critically evaluate psychological knowledge and ability to apply them in different areas of social life. As part of some courses focused on social competencies, study provides the possibility of developing social, communicational and personal skills needed in interpersonal interaction.
Completion of a bachelor degree courses in psychology entitles to apply for a subsequent two-year Master's degree in Psychology full-time. Those graduates who do not continue in the master study psychology can apply their knowledge in various fields and professions of social and economic life, where is the Bachelor degree required, and where the acquired psychological knowledge and competence can be used. It is for example. the social and charitable field where graduates can work with various social-handicapped groups to participate in improving the quality of life of individuals and society at large, or in the area of government, education (e.g. in educational institutions and agencies as education methodologists). Wide application can be found in the economic field, both in managerial positions, as well as in management and human resource development.


Bachelor degree part time education
Length: 5 years
The five years’ part time bachelor education is equal to three years full time education. It allows a student to acquire a comprehensive overview on the key knowledge of psychology and its basic disciplines (general psychology, social psychology, developmental psychology, psychology of personality). Graduate will also gain ability to acquire, analyse and critically evaluate psychological knowledge and ability to apply them in different areas of social life. Master degree full time education
Studying psychology at the master degree prepares graduates for the profession of psychologist - for study only graduates of single-subject bachelor's degree in psychology can apply. Students are provided with knowledge and competence which allow them to work in psychological practice and various areas of psychology. The study emphasizes the role and ability of psychology as a scientific discipline and profession while also helping to improve quality of human life in all areas of social and economic life. Therefore, the core of master degree education are applied disciplines of psychology (clinical, counselling, educational, work psychology, psychotherapy, psychodiagnostics), supplemented by optional courses providing knowledge and skills from several partial areas of applied psychology. Graduate is gaining a comprehensive summary of the applicable knowledge to solve actual problems of human in today's society as well as in the development and optimization of psychological functioning in various spheres of personal and social life. Graduate has the opportunity of wide application in the profession of psychologist in individual professional orientation of psychological practice. As counselling psychologist, he or she can find employment in counselling centres and psychological services, psychological prevention centres, educational and psychological counselling, social care centres, etc. As a clinical psychologist, he or she obtains the possibility of career in the health facilities of different character: e.g. hospitals, health centres, stationary, treatment. As a school psychologist, he or she can apply for work in educational institutions and schools, working as a psychologist in the field of human resources, development and management of human resources, etc. In addition, graduates of master degree psychology have the possibility of continuing in doctoral study in various fields of psychology or related disciplines.
