Marcel Martinkovič was born on 8th of July 1977 in Piešťany. He studied political science at the Faculty of Humanities (nowadays Faculty of Philosophy and Arts) of Trnava University in 1997-2002. He made his doctoral studies at the Institute of Philosophy of Slovak Academy of Sciences in Bratislava in 2003-2007. He aimed his dissertation project towards problem of nationalism in the context of Slovak political thought history of the second half of 19th century. He received his PhD title upon the dissertation thesis: Political Mind of New School in 2007. He has taught at the Department of Political Science since 2005 and has been the head of this department since 2013.

Pavol Krištof (1975) studied political sciences at the Faculty of Humanities (nowadays Faculty of Philosophy and Arts) of Trnava University. He graduates his doctoral studies at the Institute of Philosophy of Slovak Academy of Sciences in 2010 in the field of Slovak nationalism in the second half of the 19th century and the work of Jonáš Záborský figure. Milan Katuninec (1960) is the professor in the field of Slovak history. He graduated journalism at the Faculty of Arts of Comenius University in Bratislava in 1995. He completed his post gradual studies during 1995-1999 at the Department of Slovak History and Archiving of the Faculty of Arts of Comenius University and at the Institute of History of Slovak Academy of Sciences in the scientific field of Slovak history. Professor Katuninec has worked at the Department of Political Science of the Faculty of Philosophy nad Arts of Trnava University since 1998 and has been the dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Arts of TU since 2016.

He aimed his thesis towards the figure of T. G. Masaryk headed by Professor Jan Zouhar during his doctoral studies at the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University in Brno (Czech Republic).
