The aim of the project is the revitalization and rescue of 4 endangered wetlands in the Štiavnica and Kremnica mountains and associated activities to improve public awareness of climate change. The project includes mapping of the environmental education system at different levels of education and its impact on the acquisition of knowledge, attitudes and behaviour towards climate change.

2018 – 2020 CONCISE: Communication role on perception and beliefs of EU Citizens about Science

CONCISE‘s main objective is to learn the role science communication plays on the origin of beliefs, perceptions and knowledge concerning scientific issues. To achieve this aim, CONCISE carried out five citizen consultations in Lisbon (Portugal), Valencia (Spain), Vicenza (Italy), Trnava (Slovakia) and Lodz (Poland), with the participation of close to 500 citizens. This allowed the CONCISE team to gather testimonies from different EU regions, providing CONCISE with comparable and reliable information on the general perceptions of EU citizens in regard to the four science “hot” topics under study: Vaccines, Use of complementary and alternative medicines, Climate change and
Food safety.

2018 – 2020 PERSIST_EU PROJECT: Knowledge, beliefs, Perceptions about Science of European Students

The main objective of the project is to develop an ICT tool to assess both the initial knowledge of European students when configuring their beliefs and perceptions on different scientific topics and their changes after their participation in the project scientific activities. In order to know the origin of the ideas and values of the students around topics of great relevance and social impact such as climate change, transgenic organisms, vaccines and alternative therapies, five student Science Camps will be organised in five countries of the EU, with 100 students, in each. The 500 students will be representatives of their respective university communities and they will participate, voluntarily, offering their time and point of view, which is of great value for the future construction of the EU.
