Projekt je zameraný na preklad a analýzu konkrétnych filozofických diel z knižnej produkcie historickej Trnavskej univerzity, ktorá pôsobila v Trnave v 17. a 18. storočí ako jedna z najstarších univerzít na našom území. Filozofia bola odjakživa základnou disciplínou univerzitného vzdelávania, a to jednak pre študentov artistickej fakulty, ako aj pre študentov teológie, práva i medicíny, pričom sa predpokladalo, že filozofické vzdelanie je základom štúdia a tvorí vstupnú bránu do propedeutiky aj ostatných vedných odborov. Výskum filozofických textov má preto nesporný význam. Predkladaný projekt vo svojej koncepcii nadväzuje na výsledky úspešne ukončeného grantu Antológia z diel profesorov filozofie pôsobiacich na historickej Trnavskej univerzite (1635 - 1777) a pokračuje v skúmaní vedeckého potenciálu a napredovaní trnavskej filozofickej školy, jednej z dvoch najstarších filozofických škôl (popri prešovskej) na území Slovenska. Sústredí sa predovšetkým na porovnanie so západoeurópskym filozofickým myslením v danom období s prihliadnutím na pokrokovosť názorov trnavských filozofov, odklonenie sa od scholastického modelu filozofického myslenia a vedeckú komunikáciu s európskymi filozofickými autoritami daného obdobia. Cieľom riešiteľského kolektívu je sprístupnenie prekladu a následná interpretácia nielen parciálnych filozofických textov z prostredia Trnavskej univerzity, ale predovšetkým vydanie prekladov ucelených diel, ktoré vychádzali v kníhtlačiarni historickej Trnavskej univerzity v latinskom jazyku, pričom súčasťou elektronických bilingválnych latinsko-slovenských edícií má byť aj podrobná vedecká štúdia, ktorá prezentuje výsledky výskumu filozofickej tvorby daného autora spolu s interpretačnými východiskami predkladaného diela, a interaktívny latinsko-slovenský slovník novolatinských pojmov. Vzhľadom na to, že mnohé filozofické tlače z produkcie trnavskej vzdelávacej inštitúcie sa využívali v pedagogickom procese ako učebné texty, budú venovať riešitelia svoju pozornosť aj didaktickému potenciálu prekladaných diel v danom období s možnosťou ich využitia v dnešnom pedagogickom procese. Elektronická podoba prinesie možnosť sprostredkovať prostredníctvom interaktívneho prepojenia vysvetlenie viacerých filozofických pojmov, čo predstavuje pridanú hodnotu projektu.
Philosophical works produced at the historic Trnava University (1635 - 1777) as a testimony to progressive scientific thinking in the Slovak milieu in the 18th century
The project focuses on the translation and analysis of specific philosophical works produced at the historic University of Trnava active in the 17th and 18th centuries as one of the oldest universities in our territory. Philosophy has always been a fundamental discipline of university education, both for students of the Faculty of Arts and for students of theology, law and medicine, as it has been assumed that philosophical education is the basis of any study and forms the gateway to propaedeutics and other disciplines. The research of philosophical texts is therefore of undeniable importance. In its conception, the presented project follows the outputs of the successfully completed grant entitled Anthology from the works of professors of philosophy at the historic Trnava University (1635 – 1777) and further explores the scientific potential and progress of the Trnava School of Philosophy, one of the two oldest philosophical schools (next to Prešov) in the territory of Slovakia. It focuses mainly on comparison with Western European philosophical thinking in the period, taking into account the progress of the views of Trnava philosophers, deviation from the scholastic model of philosophical thinking and scientific communication with European philosophical authorities of the period. The research team aims to provide the translation and subsequent interpretation of the partial philosophical texts from the environment of Trnava University and, in particular, publish translations of complete works published in Latin in the printing house of the historic Trnava University. Electronic bilingual Latin-Slovak editions shall also include a detailed scientific study presenting the results of the research of the philosophical work of particular authors together with the interpretive grounds of the work presented and an interactive Latin-Slovak dictionary of Neo-Latin terms. Since many philosophical prints produced at the Trnava educational institution were used in the pedagogical process as study texts, the researchers shall also pay attention to the didactic potential of translated works in the given period with the possibility of their use in today's pedagogical process. The electronic form will bring the possibility to mediate through an interactive link the explanation of several philosophical concepts, which represents the added value of the project.
